I'm sure many of you noticed some changes about UI of DeviantArt. For a while, it was possible to keep using old layout. Not anymore. Hence the question: how am I supposed to check group messages with submissions? Can anyone help me with that?

Regarding Orlando massacre

I am sure some of you were looking forward to see what that nasty homophobic Tr01ka will say about terrorist attack that left half a hundred homosexuals killed and just as many injured. So first thing you should know is that I do NOT approve what happened. Over the course of last year I grew to understand the importance of human life; I may dislike certain people, but I will not justify a murder, let alone mass murder. I have no respect for homosexuals (and why should I?), but I do respect their right to live. Therefore, Omar Mateen should get his punishment - not for assault on homosexuals, but because he murdered people.
Yet recent terrorist attack in Orlando is not the only one in history of our days. In countries of third world, mass murder is common thing; every day ISIS and other similar organizations take a toll of lives, not limiting themselves to adult men - but nobody cares. Do you remember Western politicians or celebrities mourning deaths of Nigerian children, victims of Boko Haram? Do you remember "je suis Garissa" flashmobs? Neither do I. Because, for Western de-muck-rat-ic media, people living in countries of third world are not human beings of full value. They die like flies, and that's precisely what they are for West. Unless their deaths can be used as excuse to invade their land and kill even more of them, naturally.
But happy citizens of first world countries are whole other thing. Their lives matter, because they are consumers and voters. Members of LGBT group stand even higher in this hierarchy of people worth of mourning. Now I can't wait to see what Charlie Hebdo draws about Orlando massacre. They can't be so hypocritical that they laugh even at deaths of their own compatriots, victims of terrorist attacks in Paris, but won't laugh at foreigners' deaths because said foreigners were homosexuals, right?
It's also curious that, despite emphasis on how it was a "hate crime", nearly every Western source has to state that Islam shouldn't be blamed for this. Though one sacred cow (homosexuals) is already involved, they don't want to insult another (multiculturalism), or probably fear a violent backlash. You know, if you have doubt that certain groups are peace-loving, they will prove you wrong by severing your head off.
But, actually, they have a point. We shouldn't put all the blame on Islam; religion in general is to blame. For many centuries, it was one of primary functions of every known religion to make people kill other people on their spiritual leader's first say-so. In this regard, religions aren't different from each other. Christian terrorists exist, and they're just as heinous as Muslim ones, although far less numerous nowadays.
Religion can justify slaughter of anyone. Religious fanatics may kill you for any presumed "sin" (such as using Internet), or even complete lack of thereof - because their god will know his own.
Now let's return to Orlando. All those deaths are work of a single man over the course of single night. He took on more than a hundred people and literally massacred them. What riddles me the most is question, why he didn't meet any resistance?
Of course, Omar Mateen was armed. But it seems, any grown person in Florida state can purchase firearms legally - that's exactly how terrorist got his rifle. I don't know if any of victims had guns with them, but they could.
One may argue that "Pulse" is meant to be place where homosexuals could feel secure. Fine. Don't they need guns for self-defense in case someone attacks them on their way home?
Let's face it - while many people in USA can own firearms, ones that are willing to put them to use are almost always criminals who have no problem with taking human life, or two, or more, for completely arbitrary reasons.
But let's imagine that no one but Omar had a gun in "Pulse" (which may be true). What does it change? Not much. One guy could have been overwhelmed by those he was shooting; there would still be victims, but not as many. Yet apparently, his victims didn't even try to fight back. They ran for their lives, they were trying to hide, and terrorist's bullets were finding them.
Theoretically, "Pulse" visitors could take their butcher down, but never attempted it. Which is sad, because it exposes weakness of the crowd. Now anyone planning a mass murder has another proof that he won't meet any resistance from those he kills.
I'm pretty much done with Orlando incident; let's move to the last topic for today - fags. And by "fags", I mean politicians, none other than those who rule and plunder my long-suffering country.
Ironically, around the same time gun shots could be heard in Orlando, a march in support of LGBT rights was held in Kiev. Right-wing radicals, so influential in modern Ukraine, promised to turn this march into a bloodshed if it's not canceled, but ultimately stayed idle. Nevertheless, this public event was heavily guarded. Reportedly, around thousand and a half activists took part in the march. They were guarded by total of six thousand and a half policemen and members of National Guard. After the event was over, its participants were evacuated on separate subway train, resulting in whole line being closed for common passengers.
Just in case you didn't know: Ukraine is run by corrupt and hypocritical parasites who trample rights of common folk and laws of the state, take IMF credits for themselves and make people of Ukraine pay the debts, breed far-right thugs to intimidate population, and send our soldiers to die in war they want to go on forever, as it lets them do all those things to country, in fashion of Orwellian dystopia.
But look how they care about LGBT rights! How do you think, will any social protest (for example, against yet another tax increase) get state's protection from nationalist mobs that serve exact same figures who raise taxes for population?
Ukraine is third world country. We, its citizens, are flies, so our rigths, interests and lives can be neglected.
